About Me

Hello. My name is Lindsey Fitzharris and I am a medical historian. I recently completed my doctorate at Oxford University, where I specialised in the history of seventeenth-century alchemical medicine. I am currently a Wellcome Trust Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queen Mary, University of London. My work focuses on the rise of the surgeon in Restoration London (1660-1700); however, my interests in the history of surgery reach much further.
